The initial inspiration for Crust and the Crumb came, fittingly, in the kitchen, as Heather Hay and Lisa Larson were slapping, folding, and stretching the dough. The subject of healthcare marketing came up, as did the unmet need for a dedicated agency of specialists in the Tampa Bay area. Well, something about the setting, the ingredients (bread interior is called the “crumb”), the craftsmanship, and the creativity of the moment all came together. Thus, Crust and the Crumb was born in 2023.
